Ingredients
  

For the Casserole
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup Can be substituted with homemade version
  • 1/2 cup milk Can be substituted with non-dairy milk for vegan version
  • 1 cup French fried onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 3-4 minutes until bright green, then drain.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and soy sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Add the blanched green beans and half of the French fried onions to the mixture. Stir to combine.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes.
  2. Remove from the oven, top with the remaining French fried onions, and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the onions are golden.
  3. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Leftovers store well in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. To freeze, use an airtight container; it’ll last up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven or microwave, but add crispy toppings fresh.
