  • 2 cans 2 (14.5 ounce) cans green beans (drained) Use drained canned green beans.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil To coat the green beans in the skillet.
Seasonings
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper Freshly ground is preferred.
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder Can be replaced with fresh onion.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder Fresh garlic can be used for more flavor.

Preparation
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the olive oil and drained green beans to the skillet. Stir until well coated.
Cooking
  1. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to the skillet. Stir until the seasonings blend seamlessly with the green beans.
  2. Continue to simmer until heated throughout and most of the liquid evaporates, about 5 minutes.
  3. Serve immediately or transfer to a slow cooker on warm for potlucks or as a holiday side dish.
