Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter with brown and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract, then mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, whip the cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.
- Scoop a spoonful of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, then add a dollop of the cream cheese mixture on top.
- Swirl the cream cheese into the cookie dough with a toothpick or knife.
- Drizzle salted caramel sauce over each cookie.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges look lightly golden.
- Allow them to cool before serving.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or in the fridge for up to two weeks. Softened butter is key for mixing properly. Adjust the saltiness with the amount of salted caramel sauce.
