- In a large bowl, mix together the Magerquark, eggs, honey, and vanilla extract until it’s smooth and creamy.
- In a separate bowl, combine the oats, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the quark mixture and stir until you have a homogeneous batter.
Cooking
- Heat a pan over medium heat and add a little oil or butter.
- Spoon small portions of the batter into the pan, frying them for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they turn a lovely golden brown.
- Place the cooked quark coins on a paper towel to drain any excess oil and keep them warm while you finish frying the rest.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days, or freeze in a freezer bag for up to a month. Reheat in a skillet or microwave before serving. For variations, substitute eggs with flaxseed meal for vegan options or add chocolate chips for extra flavor.
