Ingredients
  

For the Green Beans
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed and dried
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional) For extra flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Rinse the green beans well, trim the ends, and dry them thoroughly.
  3. Toss the green beans in a bowl with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well coated.
  4. Grate the Parmesan cheese over the beans and toss lightly.
  5. Spread the green beans on a parchment-lined baking sheet in a single layer.
Cooking
  1. Roast in the oven for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  2. Remove from the oven. Optionally sprinkle with lemon zest or additional Parmesan before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. Reheat in the oven for a few minutes to restore the crunch. Don't overcrowd the baking sheet to keep the beans crispy. Experiment with different cheeses and add red pepper flakes for heat.
