  • 1 lb green beans Trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons miso paste Any variety of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For sautéing
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Trim the ends of the green beans and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the green beans to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the miso paste, soy sauce, and sesame oil together.
  6. Pour the miso mixture over the green beans and stir to coat evenly.
  7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the beans are tender but still crisp.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.

Notes

Serve as a side with grilled chicken, salmon, or tofu. You can add a squeeze of lemon juice for a zesty twist. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
