  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional) For a kick
  • 1 each lemon, juiced Fresh lemon juice recommended

Method
 

Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Toss in the broccoli florets and sauté for 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften.
  4. Add shrimp, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.
  5. Squeeze lemon juice over the dish before serving.

Notes

Don’t overcook the shrimp; they turn rubbery. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 2-3 days in the refrigerator.
