Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add marinara sauce and Italian seasoning to the skillet. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Layering and Baking
- In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce, then a layer of noodles, a layer of ricotta cheese, and a layer of mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with mozzarella cheese on top.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For best results, let the lasagna sit before cutting for perfect slices. Pair with garlic bread and salad for a complete meal. Can be made ahead and frozen.
