  • 2 tablespoons honey
For the Topping
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup nuts (e.g., walnuts or almonds), chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter or coconut oil (for greasing)
For Serving
  • Yogurt or milk for serving
  • Ice cream optional for dessert

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, cinnamon, and honey.
  3. In another bowl, mix the oats and chopped nuts.
Baking
  1. Layer the apple mixture in a greased baking dish.
  2. Top with the oat and nut mixture.
  3. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with yogurt or milk, or with ice cream for dessert.

Notes

Mix different apple varieties for enhanced flavor. Can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
