Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef or turkey over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add bell peppers and mushrooms, and sauté until they soften (about 5 minutes).
- Stir in the marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Transfer your mixture into a casserole dish and top it with mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
Leftovers keep well in the fridge for about 3-4 days. Freeze individual portions for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave or oven until warm.
