Ingredients
  

Pasta and Meat
  • 12 noodles 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with turkey or chicken.
Sauce and Cheeses
  • 24 oz 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce Feel free to add more for enhanced flavor.
  • 2 cups 2 cups cottage cheese Soften before mixing for better texture.
  • 1 each 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Can be garnished with extra for serving.
  • 2 cups 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese More cheese on top for better gooeyness.
Spices
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions, adding salt to the water.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and drain any excess fat.
  4. In a bowl, mix the cottage cheese, egg, Parmesan, garlic powder, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
Assembly
  1. In a baking dish, layer noodles, the beef mixture, cottage cheese blend, and mozzarella.
  2. Repeat the layers, finishing with mozzarella on top.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
  2. Let it rest for about 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Can be garnished with fresh basil or extra Parmesan. This lasagna keeps well for 3-5 days in the fridge or can be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months.
