Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and sweet Italian sausage over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the spaghetti sauce, and let it simmer for a few minutes. If it’s too thick, add 1/4 cup of water.
- In a bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, eggs, parsley, salt, and pepper until combined.
Assembly
- In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a layer of the meat sauce. Then, place 3 lasagna noodles on top, followed by 1/3 of the ricotta mixture and 1/3 of the mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat layering until all ingredients are used, finishing with meat sauce on top. Sprinkle with remaining cheeses.
Baking
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
Notes
Serve with a fresh side salad for a perfect contrast to the cheesy layers. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for about 3-5 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
