Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the egg and water until fully combined.
- Pour the egg mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms.
- Place the dough on a piece of parchment paper and top with another sheet. Roll out the dough into a thin rectangle, about 1/8 inch thick.
- Remove the top parchment paper and cut the rolled dough into squares or desired shapes using a knife or pizza cutter.
- Transfer the cut dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and crispy.
- Let the crackers cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Chill the dough for 10-15 minutes before rolling it out; it helps with the texture. For a chewier texture, roll them a bit thicker, but they won’t be super crispy. These crackers can be made vegan by swapping the egg with a flaxseed meal mixture.
