Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add the flour and stir for about 1 minute until it's light and golden.
- Gradually whisk in the warm milk, ensuring there are no lumps.
- Stir in the heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat.
Assembly and Baking
- In a baking dish, spread a layer of the white sauce on the bottom.
- Place a layer of lasagna noodles over the sauce, followed by a layer of shredded chicken, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, and more white sauce.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used up, finishing with noodles and plenty of white sauce on top.
- Sprinkle additional mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
Make it ahead by assembling the lasagna a day in advance. You can also use different cheeses if you prefer. For added nutrition, consider adding vegetables like spinach or mushrooms.
