Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook the bacon in a skillet until it’s crispy and then drain on paper towels. Crumble the bacon and set aside.
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan. Whisk in the brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic powder until smooth.
- Toss the drained green beans in the baking dish, pour the glaze over them, and mix well. Top with crumbled bacon and optional red pepper flakes.
Baking
- Bake in the oven for 25 minutes, or until the glaze is bubbling and slightly thickened.
- Toss gently and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving warm.
Notes
For variation, you can add sliced almonds or walnuts for added crunch. Cheese options like colby jack or cheddar can also enhance the flavor!
