Ingredients
  

For the Garlic Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth, beef broth, or vegetable broth Use vegetable broth for a vegan version.
  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch To thicken the sauce.
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
For the Green Beans
  • 1/2 pound green beans, ends trimmed Fresh green beans are recommended.
  • 1/4 cup peanut oil, avocado oil, or safflower oil Used for frying.

Method
 

Traditional Method
  1. Heat up your favorite oil in a hot pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Toss in the trimmed green beans and fry until they start to get tender and crispy.
  3. Add the garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Mix soy sauce, broth, cornstarch, and sesame oil in a bowl, then pour it over the beans.
  5. Cook until the sauce thickens, then serve.
Broiling Method
  1. Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 3-4 minutes, then shock them in ice water.
  2. In a bowl, mix the sauce ingredients as described.
  3. Spread the blanched beans onto a baking sheet, drizzle the sauce, and toss.
  4. Broil for about 5-7 minutes.
Air Fryer Method
  1. Combine the sauce ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Toss the trimmed green beans in the sauce until well coated.
  3. Place them in the air fryer basket and cook at 400°F for 10-12 minutes.
  4. Shake halfway through for even crispiness.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of chili oil or crushed red pepper flakes. Watch the cooking time to avoid mushy beans. Experiment with different oils for varied flavors.
