  • 1 pound green beans Washed and trimmed
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Can be swapped for tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil For cooking
  • to taste salt For seasoning
  • to taste pepper For seasoning

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash and trim the green beans.
  2. Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Cooking
  1. Add the green beans to the pan and stir-fry for about 5 minutes.
  2. Pour in soy sauce, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the beans are tender.
  4. Serve warm.

Notes

Storage: Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days in an airtight container. They also freeze well for up to 2 months. Reheat by sautéing or microwaving until heated through. Tips: Don’t overcook the beans; they should be tender-crisp. Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick or toss in other veggies for a color explosion.
