Dry Ingredients
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened) Make sure it's softened for easy creaming.
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
Chocolate Chips
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark) Use your favorite type of chocolate chips.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the butter mixture until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them out.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
  2. Let them cool on wire racks before enjoying.

Notes

For extra chewiness, use more brown sugar. Chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking for better texture. Don't overbake!
