Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the mozzarella cheese and garlic butter together in the microwave. Stir until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix the almond flour, baking powder, salt, and Italian seasoning (if using).
- Add the melted cheese mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
- Add the egg and mix until a dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to your prepared baking sheet and press it out to your desired shape and thickness.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the flatbread is crispy.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
Serve with marinara sauce for dipping or use as a low-carb pizza base. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 4-5 days and can be frozen for longer storage.
