Preparation
- Brown the beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Remove excess fat if necessary.
- Add chopped onion and bell pepper to the pan and continue cooking for 3-4 minutes until they’re fragrant and soft.
- Stir in the cabbage, diced tomatoes, and all the seasonings into the pan.
- Cover it with a lid and let it simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Do a taste test and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Sprinkle cheese on top and cover again until the cheese melts.
Notes
This dish can be enjoyed alone or served with rice. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days or frozen for 3 months.
