Ingredients
  

Casserole Base
  • 6 eggs 6 eggs
  • 1 cup 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup 1 cup diced cooked ham
  • 1 cup 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can substitute with other cheeses like pepper jack or mozzarella.
  • 2 cups 2 cups cubed bread Use crusty bread for added texture.
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers Use any color of bell peppers.
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well mixed.
  3. Toss in the ham, cheese, bread, bell peppers, and onions. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread it out evenly.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the eggs are set and the top is lightly golden.
  2. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with fresh herbs or crispy bacon. For make-ahead options, prepare the night before and refrigerate. This casserole can also be made gluten-free by using gluten-free bread.
