Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually stir the dry mixture into the creamed mixture.
- Gently fold in the diced apples.
- Transfer the batter to the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
Make Topping and Bake
- In a separate bowl, mix the oats, chopped nuts (if using), and sugar for the crumb topping.
- Sprinkle the crumb topping generously over the batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool before dusting with powdered sugar.
Notes
Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days or in the fridge for up to a week.
