  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk (or dairy-free alternative) Can use almond, coconut, or other plant-based milk.
  • 1 apple, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 cup yogurt (optional) Can use plant-based yogurt for a vegan version.
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mason jar or bowl, combine the rolled oats and milk.
  2. Add the chopped apple, cinnamon, and your sweetener (if using).
  3. Stir in yogurt and vanilla extract if desired.
  4. Mix well until everything is combined.
  5. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Serving
  1. In the morning, stir the mixture and add more milk if necessary; enjoy your delicious overnight oats!

Notes

Store your leftover oats in the fridge for up to 5 days. You can also freeze them in individual jars but leave space for expansion.
