Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
For Rolling and Glaze
  • 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar for rolling
  • 1 cup powdered sugar for glaze
  • 2-3 tbsp apple cider for glaze

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg, apple cider, and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients until combined.
  6. Scoop dough onto baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
Glazing
  1. While cookies cool, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar with apple cider until smooth.
  2. Dip the tops of the cooled cookies in the apple cider butter, then roll in cinnamon sugar.
  3. Drizzle or spread the glaze on top for extra sweetness.

Notes

Serve these cookies warm with a hot cup of apple cider or chai tea. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze them for longer storage. Use fresh cider for the best flavor and consider adding chopped dried apples or walnuts for variation.
