Ingredients
  

Pickles and Coating
  • 1 jar Dill pickles (or any type of pickles you prefer) Choose thinner slices for extra crispiness.
  • 1/2 cup Cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour Can be substituted with gluten-free flour.
  • 1 large Egg For a vegan option, use a flax egg.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Paprika Optional; add garlic powder or cayenne for extra flavor.
  • as needed Cooking spray Lightly spray for crispiness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the pickles into chips.
  3. In a bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. In another bowl, beat the egg.
  5. Dip each pickle slice into the egg, then coat it with the cornmeal mixture.
  6. Arrange the coated pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  7. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
Cooking
  1. Air fry for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  2. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the air fryer until crispy. Don’t crowd the basket for even frying.
