Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 slices thick bread (sourdough or sandwich bread) Use thicker slices to prevent leaks.
  • 2 eggs eggs Adjust cooking time based on yolk preference.
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or personal favorite) Experiment with different cheeses for variety.
  • 1 tablespoon butter Optional, for buttering bread.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Essential for flavor.
  • optional fresh parsley or chives For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread and press a well into the center.
  3. Crack one egg into the well of each bread slice.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheese around the edges or on top of the whites.
Cooking
  1. Air fry for 6–8 minutes until the egg whites are set and the cheese is melted.
  2. Season with salt, pepper, and herbs, then serve hot.

Notes

Serve with a drizzle of hot sauce or a dollop of avocado. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
